Weston Artspace finds a new home

We are delighted to announce our partnership with Weston Town Council as part of a vision to transform the Old Town Quarry into a welcoming cultural and creative hub for the whole community.

This site will be a hub for art, nature, and local heritage, where people of all ages can participate in workshops, public art projects, and community events.

After moving out of 73 High Street in May 2024, we’ve successfully delivered creative projects across the town thanks to the support of The Stable, We Are Super, @stackscafe, Front Room WSM, The Other Place, Super Culture, and Alliance Homes Group who have kindly hosted us at the 7 Aller Parade Community Hub.

This exciting development has been made possible through successful funding from Arts Membership, a West of England region-wide initiative exploring ways to increase access to affordable workspaces for artists. The project is funded by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, Arts Council England, and supported by Bath Spa University.

The new space will offer an affordable membership programme, helping artists connect, create, and grow their skills - while keeping access open and inclusive.

We invite residents, artists, and supporters of the arts to join us in shaping the future of creativity in Weston. Let’s make The Old Town Quarry a space that inspires, connects, and celebrates our vibrant community.

What are people saying about Weston Artspace?

We’re open to anyone really, anyone can come find a space, do whatever you need to do and crack on.
— Karen Blake, Weston Artspace Guardian
Artspace lent us a light when things were becoming a little dark. We not only owe the space a great deal, but most importantly the community and the people.
— Rob Macnabb, Theatre Maker
When I moved to Weston-super-Mare last year I knew I had found a good place to live in; when I found the Artspace and met all the lovely people who go there, I knew I had found a home. This is why community space matters.
